Description of the attraction
The city of Stavanger is located on the shores of a small harbor. On its left bank there is the old fortress tower Yalberg, from the top of which you can see a magnificent view of the city, the surroundings and the fjord.
One of the main attractions of Stavanger is the Cathedral of St. Trinity. Its construction began in 1125, after Sigurd the Crusader moved the bishop's seat to Stavanger. The interior of the temple is decorated with intricate stone carvings and modern stained glass windows.
On the right bank of the bay is the Old Town, built up with white two-story wooden houses of the 19th century, with cobblestone pavements and pedestrian zones.
