Description of the attraction
Xi Beach is definitely one of the most famous in Kefalonia. It is distinguished by white rocky hills that surround a strip of reddish brown sand. The beach is located forty kilometers on the road from Argostoli and 10 kilometers from Lixouri. The name of the beach was given by the shape of its bay - in the form of an almost regular letter X.
The organization of the recreation area is pretty good - with straw umbrellas and comfortable sun loungers. There is a bar right on the beach serving cold drinks and snacks, as well as a water sports center with a range of equipment rentals - from balls and nets to scuba diving kits and boats for rent. The shallow coastline and light waves create ideal conditions for children.
Nearby, within walking distance, there are many restaurants and small shops, apartments are rented. There are several privately owned hotels.
The beach is easy to reach - it takes 10 to 40 minutes by car or public bus from Lixouri and Argostoli.
