Description of the attraction
Alcazar Park is located on the banks of the Piños River. This is the most famous recreation area in Larissa. Before being turned into a park, this area was used as a racing field. Since 1887, Alcazar Park has been a real oasis for people living in the city - it combines rich nature and coolness from the river. Horse shows were held in the Alcazar until 1937, after which a zoo was located on the territory until 1990. In addition, traditional September fairs were organized here.
Currently, the Alcazar Park is mainly used by residents as a place for walking and recreation. A huge park with wide shady alleys and a breeze blowing from Pinos is the perfect place for family fun. The park has an open-air cinema, café and mini golf course.
