Description of the attraction
Everyone who comes to Cuba is recommended to visit the city of Santa Clara, Villa Clara province, where the most famous memorial in the world to the popular favorite of the Flaming Ernesto Che Guevara is located. The complex was built just a kilometer from the city center on the Avenue de Los Desfiles. The famous multi-meter bronze statue depicts a commandante with a plaster cast on his arm, which he broke during a battle. At the base of the monument, in the mausoleum, the remains of a revolutionary lie. As you know, he was taken prisoner in Bolivia, where he was tortured and killed in 1967. Only a decade later, the remains of Ernesto were found, after which they were buried here in Santa Clara. At the base of the memorial, the Museum of the Revolution was opened, where Che Guevara's things are carefully kept. Unique, rare photographs are of particular interest. On one of them, a Cuban idol in the wild removes a tooth from his comrade. Many historical documents of that time, weapons, and other exhibits are crowned with the most important one - the embalmed hands of Che Guevara, and his farewell letter to Fidel Castro.
