Description of the attraction
The Nikolaev Regional Philharmonic Society was founded in 1937. The Philharmonic Society began its activity in 1938 in a building located at the intersection of Nikolskaya and Sovetskaya Streets. The Nikolaev Philharmonic included a brass band, a symphony orchestra, a miniature theater, a ballet ensemble and a choir chapel.
During the tour, concerts took place on its stage: the Druzhba ensemble, the artistic director of which is the Honored Artist of the RSFSR and composer A. Bronevitsky, the Oleg Lundstrem Orchestra, the Laureate of International Competitions Yuri Drang (accordion), the soloist of the Mosconcert, the Moscow Chamber Jazz Ensemble ", Honored Artist of the RSFSR Friedrich Lips, Honored Artist of Ukraine Alexander Gonobolin (violin), People's Artist of Estonia Mati Palma (vocals), Kazakhstan State Symphony Orchestra, Azerbaijan Chamber Orchestra, Moscow Jewish Theater" Sholem "and many others.
Within the walls of the regional philharmonic society of the city of Nikolaev, such pop stars as Alexander Serov and Larisa Dolina, as well as famous composers Kim Breitburg, Igor Krutoy and others, began their creative activities.
In 1984, the old premises of the Philharmonic were completely destroyed, and the new one has not yet been built. Today, the modern composition of the philharmonic artists, not having their own concert hall, is forced to work at various concert venues in the city and region. Due to the lack of professional premises, the administration of the regional philharmonic society, unfortunately, does not have the opportunity to invite guest performers who could beautify the life of the city's residents.
Since 1984, the Philharmonic is temporarily located in an emergency room at 55 Marshal Vasilevsky Street.
