Famous beaches of Budva

After a few days of rest, there is satiety with the bright sun, turquoise sea and blissful idleness on the beach. And then tourists go to the Old Town of Budva in search of delight for the eyes and food for the mind. The most popular resort in Montenegro, according to legend, was founded by the Phoenicians. Over the 25 centuries of its existence, many historical buildings have appeared here, which must be seen while walking around the city. The old town, consisting of narrow, winding streets and houses with tiled roofs, is surrounded by a fortress wall. Its heart is the Citadel, located on a rocky promontory on the seashore. It has now been turned into a historical museum.
There are quite a few churches in Budva. The Catholic Cathedral of St. John the Baptist, dating from the 7th century, can be easily recognized by its 36-meter-high square belfry. The 9th century Church of St. Mary "in Punta" is part of the oldest monastery and the oldest surviving building in the city.
Budva falls in love with itself at first sight. It is not surprising that most tourists who have been here at least once dream of returning here.
