The Kazakh Republic ranks ninth in the world in terms of area, one of the leading positions in the CIS, in recent years it has been developing at a fairly rapid pace. These positions contribute to the creation of a positive image of the country in the eyes of citizens of other countries of the planet and an increase in the number of residents at the expense of foreigners. It is they who eventually have the question of how to obtain the citizenship of the country, what are the ways in this country to become a full member of the Kazakh society, what are the terms of the procedure.
How can you get the citizenship of Kazakhstan
In the Kazakh Republic, there are various regulations, laws and instructions governing the issues of obtaining and renouncing citizenship. The main positions are spelled out in the law called "On Citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan". Therefore, foreigners and stateless persons must first of all familiarize themselves with this law, with the conditions for obtaining the rights of a Kazakh citizen and, naturally, duties.
Based on historical conditions, the political situation that has developed after March 1, 1992, the following ways of obtaining citizenship are most popular in Kazakhstan: birth; permanent residence on the territory of the country for a period of March 1, 1992, the absence of a statement of renunciation of Kazakh citizenship; admission to citizenship.
The latter method is suitable for almost all foreign residents of Kazakhstan who wanted to become full members of society, with a few exceptions. The mechanism for passing the procedure for admission to Kazakh citizenship is spelled out in more detail not in the law, but in various instructions.
Conditions for admission to citizenship
The first requirement of the legislation is the period of residence in Kazakhstan (the same condition exists in many states of the planet). A period of at least five years has been set for this republic. Moreover, this period at the time of filing the application must be continuous. It is possible to reduce the time of residence in Kazakhstan to obtain citizenship in the following cases: registration of legal relations with a citizen of Kazakhstan, while the marriage must be at least three years; the presence of a close relative living in Kazakhstan and having all the rights of a citizen. Close relatives include parents, children, brothers / sisters, grandfathers / grandmothers. The period of their residence in the Kazakh territory does not matter.
Simplified procedure for entering Kazakhstan citizenship
Considering that Kazakhstan has concluded international treaties with a number of states, a simplified procedure for passing the procedure has been established for their citizens, first of all, this applies to Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Kyrgyzstan.
Further, women who have entered into a legal marriage with a citizen of the country can take advantage of the faster passage of the procedure for acquiring Kazakhstani citizenship. And one more category of persons obtains citizenship of Kazakhstan without any special delays - specialists and workers of certain specialties, the lack of which is acutely felt by the country's economy.
Documents required for the procedure
The list of documents that must be prepared to obtain citizenship is quite extensive. Among them - a questionnaire of the established form, a copy of a passport, or other document serving as an identity card, photographs, copies of birth and marriage certificates, and notarized.
Also an important document is the obligation to comply with the Constitution of the Kazakh Republic and the laws of the country, it is submitted in writing and in the prescribed form. If a person falls under the simplified procedure, he must provide documents proving this. This complex includes a written statement confirming the fact of renunciation of the previous citizenship.
For foreign women who undergo a simplified procedure for acquiring citizenship in connection with marriage, the marriage certificate and identity card of the spouse becomes a mandatory document. Not originals are provided, but notarized copies. In last place is a check, a certificate of payment of the state duty. For Kazakhstan, a certain amount is not indicated, the duty depends on the MCI (monthly calculation index).
If the child is under 18 years old, or the person is recognized as incompetent, then his parents or guardians submit documents for him. When submitting documents for a child under the age of fourteen, the package includes a birth certificate (copy), for those from 14 to 18 years old - a written consent to obtain citizenship.
Under the simplified procedure for entering Kazakhstani citizenship, the period for consideration of the package of documents is no more than three months, while the procedure is carried out in the usual manner - no more than six months.
