The capital of Great Britain, the famous foggy Albion, holds the deserved first place among all cities in the country in terms of the number of attractions and, accordingly, in the number of guests. Walking around London, even accompanied by the famous fog, leaves a fabulous impression.

The route of the excursion to the iconic places of the city can be thought out on your own, or you can use the services of tourist buses. By the way, when traveling around London, you should be prepared for unexpected stories and encounters, for example, with the culture of India or China in the respective areas, hipster alleys and markets, chic parks and lots of green spaces.

London walks

The English capital has its own regulations, according to which the city is divided into external and internal. The latter is located, as it should be, in the center, its borders coincide with the borders of the County of London.

It is interesting that on the border of the two parts there was a place for the most sporting areas, the names of which are well known even to people who are not fans of an active lifestyle - Wembley, Wimbledon, Tottenham. Greenwich is also located here, every educated person remembers the so-called Greenwich or zero meridian, from which time is counted. There are many different attractions in this area of London, including the famous Royal Observatory.

Main tourist points

In the heart of London, in the City, you can see the gloomy and majestic Baroque architecture, especially the huge St. Paul's Cathedral, which has no competitors, and several ultra-modern skyscrapers.

Nearby there is an area called the Tower. An educated tourist will immediately tell what sights can be seen here: the Tower of London, a fortress, a symbol of Great Britain, replicated on souvenirs and photos; Tower Bridge (drawbridge) over the River Thames, opened in 1894.

The crows that live on the territory of the fortress are under the protection of the state, they live on full support. There is even a special member of the guard, whose position is called raven keeper. Each of the birds has its own name, given in honor of a Celtic or Scandinavian god, and on the paw there is a ribbon of a certain color by which the birds can be distinguished.
