The capital of the Crimean peninsula, Simferopol is located quite far from the sea: almost forty kilometers separate it from the nearest beaches in Nikolaevka. Nevertheless, the embankment in Simferopol exists and is located on both banks of the Salgir River, in the valley of which the city was built.

The Salgir River is the longest on the peninsula. From the source to the mouth in the Sivash Bay, the length of Salgir is more than 230 kilometers. Near the Crimean capital, the river forms the Simferopol reservoir.

His main merit is the founding and development of the educational movement of the peoples of the Islamic world, called Jadidism.

The zoo of the capital of Crimea is located one block from the embankment of Simferopol. More than 300 species of animals in it are of great interest to kids and their parents. In the zoo, you can watch the feeding of the animals and take part in one of the many events held here for lovers of our smaller brothers.

On the opposite bank of the Salgir embankment from the embankment of Simferopol, the Central Park of Culture and Rest is laid out. It appeared on the map of the city in 1809 and today bears the name of Yuri Gagarin. The main attractions of the park are an old fountain complex and representatives of rare tree species. On the alleys you can find Spanish fir and giant thuja, Persian lilac and Cappadocian maple.
