A port city on the Black Sea coast, Tuapse is one of the favorite Russian resorts. The humid subtropical climate ensures the beginning of the beach season at the end of May, and the tourist infrastructure makes a vacation on the local coast ideal for any category of travelers. The most popular street for guests is the Tuapse embankment, which is called here Primorsky Boulevard.
Along the seashore
Tuapse embankment begins at the sea station, where Marshal Zhukov street turns to the sea at right angles. Its main attractions, in addition to gorgeous sea views and healing air, are called:
- Monument "/> Obelisk to the Fighters for Soviet Power in the form of a triangular bayonet appeared on Primorsky Boulevard in honor of the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution.
- The pilotage center of the Tuapse seaport is an undoubted architectural dominant not only of the embankment, but of the entire city. Local residents jokingly call the 70-meter tower "Chupa Chups".
And also on the Tuapse embankment there is a berth for boats, from where dozens of small ships depart every day. Tourists are offered boat trips along the coast and excursion routes in the vicinity of the resort, including the famous Kiselev rock. It is named after a Russian artist who spent many years in the Black Sea resort. And a beautiful legend is associated with the rock, because of which it is also called the Rock of Tears.
A brass band plays in the city garden
The city garden near the Tuapse embankment was opened in the fall of 2015 after a large-scale reconstruction. The city garden celebrated its centenary anniversary with a renewed one: arches and rotundas appeared on its alleys, a nice fountain gives a refreshing coolness, and concerts and theatrical performances now take place on the summer stage.
Lanterns create a special comfort in the evening, and a video surveillance system guarantees complete safety for those walking. For the youngest guests of Tuapse, in the city garden and on the embankment during the beach season, children's playgrounds with inflatable trampolines, slides and swings are opened.
