Thailand's waterfalls are one of the most attractive objects (they are most full-flowing in May-October), for the sake of which many travelers, not indifferent to natural beauty, come to this country.
Erawan waterfall
This seven-cascade 831-meter waterfall stretches for 1700 m. Since its waters contain particles of calcium carbonate and other impurities, they have a color from emerald to turquoise (for those wishing to explore the falls, a special trail and several wooden bridges are provided).
The waterfall cascades are counted from the bottom up: the first two are used for weekends (you can bring food and drinks here; it is forbidden to take provisions to other tiers, with the exception of mineral water at the rate of 1 bottle / 1 person); the third is famous for the pool, which is the habitat of large fish; 4-6 cascades have secondary streams and side arms; and a steep bamboo staircase (it stretches to the top of the cliff) will lead travelers to the seventh tier.
Thi Lo Su waterfall
The stream of the waterfall (its width is 500 m; it has several levels) falls down from a 200-meter height. Tourists will be able to walk to the second level - from there they will admire the panoramic views of the valleys located downstream. In addition, they will have a chance to find a nearby cave and a natural pool (suitable for swimming).
Mae Surin waterfall
The stream of this waterfall falls down a cliff with a height of more than 100 m (an observation deck is equipped 100 m from the parking lot). It is recommended to come here in November to admire the waterfall, which is surrounded by mountain slopes on which wild sunflowers bloom.
Klong Plu waterfall
The waterfall has three levels: it will be possible to observe its stream, falling from a 20-meter height, all year round. And since there is a pool below, you can take a refreshing bath in it, if you wish. Those who want to get to the top of Klong Plu should find a path to the right of the pool, along which they will be able to get to their destination (from here a panoramic view of the entire Koh Chang island opens).
Bang Pae waterfall
A scenic path will lead tourists to a 10-meter waterfall, in the pool of which you can swim. Nearby there is a nursery where gibbons are nursed - its staff conduct excursions for tourists, during which they learn about the life of gibbons.
