Waterfalls in Norway are a fascinating phenomenon that can be found almost at every step. It is worth noting that the country boasts about 900 glaciers, which melt into waterfalls that fall beautifully into the fjords.
Kyosfossen
At the stop at the waterfall in the summer, a show is arranged for tourists with music and the appearance of a girl in a red dress from behind the stones, who begins to dance in a circle (the legend about a girl named Huldra is connected with this). Kyosfossen is unique in that it powers the Flåm railway with electricity.
Weringsfossen
The 180-meter waterfall can be admired from various points, but the best ones "lurk" at the foot (if you wish, you can go along the hiking trail that passes through the waterfall and stretches for more than 150 km - the travelers will have picturesque corners and places to relax) and at the top.
Upstairs, travelers are waiting for an observation deck, from where breathtaking panoramas open up. They will be able to make the ascent by “winding” along the trail, which consists of 125 sharp turns (along it there are several sites designed for halting and organizing picnics, as well as for panoramic filming).
Winnufossen
It is a cascading waterfall, with a total height of more than 850 m. It, splitting into several parts, literally “hugs” the trees (travelers will not be left indifferent by the views of green vegetation and streams in sky-blue tones). You can even admire Winnufossen from the E70 highway, but it is recommended to plan your trip during a period when cloudless weather prevails.
Mardalsfossen
Admire the cascading waterfall (it was able to "tame" a person), with a total height of up to 700 m (of which the largest are 2 cascades), travelers are allowed at a certain time (09: 00-21: 00) from the end of June to the end of August (at another while it “works” for the needs of the hydroelectric power plant).
Steindalsfossen
The 50-meter waterfall is a famous and photographed object in Norway (a visit should be planned in May-July). The fame was brought to him by the pedestrian path, which runs under the waterfall, allowing those walking along it to admire the falling water (at night the water is illuminated by searchlights, which creates a mysterious atmosphere). Those who wish can have a bite to eat in a cafe or buy souvenirs in a shop nearby.
