Shanghai, like the capital of China, is interesting for travelers: lovers of water walks go on a cruise on the Huangpu River, who want to enjoy the natural beauty - spend time in picturesque parks, shopaholics - walk along Nanjinglu Street in search of suitable shops.
Oriental Pearl Tower
The TV Tower, the symbol of Shanghai, consists of pearl-shaped spheres (they have different diameters, and each of the spheres is at its own level). The interest of travelers in this structure is fueled by the presence of several interesting objects, among which the following stand out:
- revolving restaurant at an altitude of more than 260 m (the menu is represented by dishes of Japanese, European and Chinese cuisines; the food system is “buffet”);
- the shops;
- Museum of Urban History (the exposition allows the guests of the museum to "move" to the Shanghai streets of 1860-1949; they will be able to admire the scenes sounded and supplemented with special smells - the life of the city is recreated with the help of wax figures of people, tea houses and residential buildings, workshops, retro cars and other objects that enhance the effect of presence; and on the big screen you can see everyday scenes lined with emeralds, pearls, agates);
- observation decks at 263 and 360 meters, equipped with a glass floor (from here you will be able to admire Shanghai, its districts and the Bund).
It is better to “travel” through the tower by means of one of 6 elevators - up to 30 passengers can be on the “board”, and 1 of them is a 2-deck one (it can accommodate up to 50 people).
Longhua Temple
The temple is famous for the presence of several rooms: for example, in the Great Hall you will be able to admire the statue of Buddha, and in the library - Buddhist sutras, antiques, and art objects. Not far from the entrance to the temple, those who wish can find a 3-storey bell tower and strike the bell no more than 3 times, having paid 50 yuan in advance.
It is best to visit the temple in April-May, during the traditional fair.
Bund Bund
It is often called “the museum of world architecture”, because on a 1.5-kilometer site there are more than 50 buildings belonging to different architectural styles (baroque, art deco, gothic, classicism), in the construction of which different states took part. Another feature of the embankment is the presence of an underwater tunnel for pedestrians (connects the Waitan and Pudong area; laid under the Huangpu River), where you can go down the stairs or on the escalator. The trip (cost 50-60 yuan) through the tunnel, accompanied by a light and music show, is carried out in a special trailer.
It is recommended to visit the Bund in the evening to admire its sights in the light of colorful lights.
