History

In 1993 the second terminal of the airport was launched. And after Lithuania entered the Schengen zone, in autumn 2007, a third terminal was opened here. Now the airport has fulfilled all the conditions of the Schengen agreement and received international status. In the system of abbreviations of the three-letter airport code, Vilnius airport is listed under the code “VON”.

Modern and quite compact airport terminals offer a full range of services that meet Schengen standards. More than eight hundred airport employees provide a well-functioning system of the airline's work.

It offers passengers comfortable waiting rooms, free Internet, numerous cafes, restaurants, an arcade of shops and a duty free zone. There is an information bureau (including in Russian), a post office, currency exchange offices, and ATMs. Passenger service is always at the highest level here.
