In a warm country, which is washed by five seas, they know a lot about beach holidays: Italy is ideal for those who want to visit a resort and not forget about their cultural development. Naples is good in this regard.
After all, while exploring local attractions under the hot sun, you will want to plunge into the cool sea water and refresh yourself. And the easiest way is to go to one of the public beaches in Naples. There are few of them here, and, as a rule, they do not have their own infrastructure, so you will have to take a bedding and an umbrella with you. But enterprising Italians still open small bars with soft drinks in such places. And they can also put a shower and a toilet next to them: you have to attract visitors. Due to the fact that there are few free beaches, there are too many people on them.
The private beaches of Naples are of interest. Not only do they have to pay for the entrance (from 10 to 20 euros), but you also have to pay for a sunbed and an umbrella. But here it is clean and well-developed infrastructure.
Lucrino
This beach is located in the Bagnoli Pozzuoli area, half an hour from Naples. It is large and wide, and the water is crystal clear. Surprisingly, there are not so many people here, and the beach is located very close to the railway station.
Bagno elena
This is one of the famous beaches. Here you can use the changing room, visit the bar, rent sun loungers and umbrellas. There is only one caveat: from 4 pm to 5 pm the sun leaves the beach.
Posillipo
This beach is located directly within the city limits, so it is considered not the cleanest. But when there is no time, and you want to swim, a visit to this place will be a good way out.
Sorrento
There is no beach in the town of Sorrento itself. However, it is worth walking a little down from the railway, as you will meet a lot of beautiful, if not panoramic, places. Some of them can be recommended for swimming. These are Piano di Sorrento, Sant'Agnello and Meta. There is amazingly clear blue water here, although the beach is pebbly.
Costriera amalfitana
It is a pleasure to visit the Amalfi Coast. True, it will take a long enough drive from Naples, and the prices are far from low.
Marina di Licola
This is probably the only sea beach that the locals would not advise to use. It is believed that the water here is dirty. And yet this beach is never empty. And since they swim in this place, then it should also be included in our review.
And the best sandy beaches of Naples, and those that are worse, without fail supervised by lifeguards. Italians themselves prefer the end of July and August to relax at sea. All we have to do is to avoid the excitement by choosing a different time.
