The entire world community associates Switzerland with stability and inviolability. And also - with a high standard of living and tranquility. Ski resorts are a worthy reflection of the state machine and national traditions. Their long history confirms the common essence, the hotels are extremely comfortable, and the tracks and equipment are technically impeccable.
The Alps occupy about 70 percent of the country's territory, and it is Switzerland that is considered the birthplace of mountaineering and alpine skiing as sports. The season at the local resorts lasts from late autumn to mid-spring, and some trails on the glaciers operate in the summer months. There are more than a dozen ski resorts in this country in the heart of the Old World, but only a few are the most popular among boarders.
Gstaad resort
This region is one of the oldest Swiss resorts that host the most secular society. However, for boarders, there is a real expanse here, because in Gstaad there are four snow parks equipped with the latest snowboarding word. Vanillaz Playground has in its arsenal kickers and kink-boxing, wood-bonks and wall-ride. The mini-park on its territory offers all mini format for beginners - kicker, rails and boxes and a wave track.
Glacier 3000 Monsterpark is located on the glacier of the Bernese Highlands. The main attraction of this snow park is the huge Big Mama springboard, which only the pros can conquer. In addition to it - a difficult half-pipe.
The gondola lift will take fans of racing on a board to White Bull Park. Its modules are scattered over an area of three kilometers, and the ski school exhibits its students on the slopes. From 8.30 am to 4.30 pm, you can use kickers, Wittwersport wave and Rivella Jubtins, Ribcap rainbow, fanbox, White Bull wall and railings to pump adrenaline into the blood.
Having conquered the slopes and descents, you can ride a sleigh or dog sled, arrange a tour on llamas or goats, overcome the slope with snowshoes or climb and look at the Alps from the height of a paraglider.
Grindelwald resort
This resort is popular with both skiers and boarders because it has trails of varying degrees of difficulty to its credit. The local skiing brings the most vivid impressions to the fans of freeriding. The guide in the first step will be very helpful. The instructor will show you all the "pitfalls" and teach you how to get a real thrill from snowboarding.
For the most advanced, the resort is open to White Elements Pro Park, which is located in the area of the Oberjoch peak. The length of the park is 850 meters, and the surrounding views are simply amazing with the number of unique landscapes. On the territory there are many kickers of various heights, the largest of which are twenty meters high. The location of the rails and boxes allows you to combine figures while riding, and the local super-pipe is one of the largest in the country's resorts.
Parks Im Rad and White Elements Beginners are more suitable for beginners or those who have decided to hone the skill of performing a particular figure. The only regret for boarders is that the resort still has a sufficient number of drag lifts.
Resort Crans-Montana
Two small villages form this resort, which is suitable for any level of surfing, as there are plenty of uncrowded red slopes for carving, blue slopes for beginners and natural jumps. There are no problems with yokes in Cran Montana. The resort offers boardwalkers a snow park in Cry d'Er, in which snow is guaranteed to be backed up by snow cannons. The park has a boardercross track and a halfpipe. For beginners, a special slope is open, and for advanced ones, trampolines and rails are adjacent to rainbow, hip and boxing. At the end of the week, boarders and skiers are pampered with night skiing. The resort has schools in which only experienced instructors practice.
In addition to skiing, entertainment is also somehow connected with the mountains. For example, you can fly around them by helicopter, airplane or paraglider. You can ride a toboggan run on a six-kilometer trail, or ride a snowmobile or snow bike. The traditional ski resorts "sauna-discos-restaurants-shops" in Crans-Montata are available in full.
Resort St. Moritz
This Swiss resort is a real godsend for the boarder who is used to giving himself one hundred percent to what he loves. Extensive back country opportunities are complemented by gorgeous mountain landscapes. Natural natural gutters and ravines are interspersed with fields of virgin untouched snow, and the absence of the need for long transitions significantly saves time.
There are many easily accessible routes visible from the lift next to the N 16 red trail. A couple of pleasant trails of the same color await snowboarders in the Corvatsch area at an altitude of 3300 meters. It is in Corvac that on Fridays there is a snowy night, during which all restaurants on the track do not close until 2.00. The resort has the longest in the country marked descent from the summit through the glacier, which is better to overcome in good weather.
