Italian ski resorts not only have melodic names, but are also appreciated by fans of flying down the slope with a breeze for their excellent technical equipment, well-groomed tracks and magnificent views that open to the eyes of the athlete. Part of the Italian mountains - the Dolomites National Park - is recognized by UNESCO as a part of the world cultural heritage. The resorts of Italy are not considered the cheapest, but they surprise not only with their ideal state, but also with a well-oiled infrastructure that allows you to spend your holidays or vacations in a varied and exciting way.
All resorts in Italy, which are engaged in winter sports, are located in six regions. The Dolomites and Alta Valtellina are especially popular with snowboarders around the world.
Val di Fassa resort in the Dolomites
This is one of the most modern and new resorts with a hotel fund with affordable and comfortable "three rubles". The skiing season starts at the beginning of winter and lasts for four months. There are 5 snow parks open for boarders at the resort, in each of which you can get weekly freestyle lessons.
Dolomiti Snowpark features music throughout the day and a huge Airbag, which measures 17x11 meters. The snow cover is the deepest in the resort, its thickness reaches 130 cm. The park has zones of jibbing, boardercross and kicker. The same opportunities for skiing are in the Easy Snowpark, which has a length of 700 meters. Col Rodella Snowpark in Val di Fassa is ideal for beginner boarders. There are three kickers and a boardercross. Its length is only 300 meters.
At the resort, you can go dog sledding, dance in the disco and go shopping to buy missing equipment. A great way to get to know Italy better is to take part in the annual February carnival.
Val Gardena Dolomites
The season in the Val Gardena lasts from the beginning of winter until the twentieth of April. There is a real expanse for the borders here - the Piz Sella fun park and snow park is located at an altitude of more than 2 km at the foot of the Sassolungo peak. The park is 750 meters long. A chair lift designed for six can take athletes to the park. The park has a large kicker, boardercross with a spur tunnel and jumps of various heights.
Twice a week, the resort has a club where you can not only improve skiing techniques for beginners, but also learn how to perform new tricks. The resort has more than a dozen points for renting equipment and selling it to athletes. Evening entertainment is represented by baths, saunas and restaurants with a dance floor, and in their free time from snowboarding, guests of the resort go sledging, take to the sky on a paraglider and play tennis.
Bormio resort in Alta Valtellina
The main entertainment of the local boarders is the BORMIO 2000 snow park, which stretches for 600 meters and has a vertical drop from 2300 to 2000 meters. The park area is completely isolated and given entirely to freestyle fans. You can get to the park by a three-seater chairlift and only wearing a helmet.
The park in Bormio has black, blue and red slopes, equipped with eight four-meter rails, boxes of 6 and 4 meters, a rainbow box and a rail double kink. Bormio's snowboarding schools promise to teach freeriders about safe off-piste skiing.
The season in Bormio begins in the calendar winter and lasts 4.5 months. Three kilometers from the town, there is an old thermal spa that was in operation during the heyday of the Roman Empire. Thermal waterfalls and relaxation in mineral water baths will help rejuvenate for new athletic feats.
Livigno resort in Alta Valtellina
This snowboarding Mecca is famous for its famous Snowboard Madness, a professional skiing school. The price of ten hours of group lessons ranges from 100 euros. When renting equipment, students receive discounts and bonuses. You can train individually with an instructor for 40 euros per hour.
A chair lift takes boarders to the Border Fun ski area, which stretches for 800 meters. Two slopes next to each other allow beginners and experienced extremists not to interfere with each other. At Mottolino Snowpark there is a line for the newest, on which the rails and boxes are simple and small. The next level line is especially popular among athletes of average fitness and has obstacles of varying difficulty. It smoothly goes into a line with high jumps up to 16 meters. Professionals ride the line with 25m kickers. The park offers experienced boardwalkers two dozen rails, walls and pipes at the JIBBING AREA.
For those who like to take a break from the slope in an active way, Livigno has built the largest wellness park in Europe with water slides, hydromassage and a gym. Horse fans will be able to take riding lessons, and extreme lovers in life will be able to fly on a map or a snowmobile along a snow-covered ice track.
