Description of the attraction
Lookout tower "Naysvuori" is located almost in the center of the city and represents the highest point in Mikkeli. The hill on which it is located was nicknamed by the locals “the mountain of women”. This is due to the fact that during the years of the Russian-Finnish war, women had the opportunity to observe the ongoing battles from the hill.
"Naisvuori" is made of white stone in the style of the 30s. XX century The lift leads upstairs, where the observation deck is located. With binoculars and optical telescopes, you can see the sights of the city from a bird's eye view.
In summer, the café-restaurant offers a coffee in the surroundings below, or traditional Finnish cuisine. Every year, in early June, a children's festival is held on the hill. In the open air, songs are played, children are dancing, puppet theater artists, etc.
