Description of the attraction

The monument to the torpedoists of the Great Patriotic War in Novorossiysk was created in memory of the heroes of the Black Sea sailors, as a symbol of boundless heroism and courage. The monument has become an adornment of the Tsemesskaya Bay embankment. Although initially it was planned to install it on Lenin Avenue.

The monument is erected on a podium imitating a sea wave. It was on such torpedo boats that the attack took place in the port on September 10, 1943, under the strongest enemy artillery and mortar fire, followed by the landing of airborne units and within 5 days the city was liberated from the Nazi invaders.

Before being decommissioned in terms of service life, this boat during the Great Patriotic War actively participated in naval battles with the fascist invaders.
