Description of the attraction
Trafalgar Falls is one of the most popular destinations in Dominica - a truly amazing sight. They are located in a rainforest 20 minutes from Roseau, the capital of Dominica. They are called twin falls, and the streams that form them originate from the tributaries of the Roseau River. The waterfall on the right, 75 feet high, is called "Mother", and the left waterfall, which is 125 feet high, is called "Father." You can admire the waterfalls from a special observation deck surrounded by orchids. You can cool off in the smaller pool of the waterfall. In another waterfall there are geothermal springs, the water is very rich in sulfur, which has a healing effect on the skin. Locals usually swim here early in the morning. It is a wonderful place where you can alternate hot and cold baths. On the way to the falls, you can also see many beautiful streams and natural pools to swim in. Volcanic boulders are constantly moving and changing the landscape under the influence of hurricanes and heavy rains. Now it is easier to climb to the right waterfall, because the road to the left waterfall is heavily blocked up after another collapse.
