Description of the attraction
Agia Anna is a small fishing village with an excellent sandy beach just over 1 km long, located on the western coast of the Greek island of Naxos. The village of Agia Anna is located about 6 km from the capital of the island of the same name and 4 km from the airport near the famous beach of Agios Prokopios, which is rightfully considered one of the best beaches in Greece.
In recent years, Agia Anna from a small village, whose inhabitants were mainly engaged in fishing, has turned into a very popular beach center with a well-developed infrastructure. Today in Agia Anna you will find a fairly good selection of accommodation (hotels, studios and rooms for rent), public parking, shops, a mini market, many excellent restaurants and taverns where you can have a great lunch, enjoying excellent local cuisine and a wide selection of dishes from the freshest fish and seafood; and several nightclubs.
The magnificent Agia Anna Beach, with its fine golden sand, essentially consists of several beach areas separated by a dock where fishing boats and boats moor, and small rocky formations. Much of the beach is well organized and offers cozy beach bars, cafes, sun loungers and sun umbrellas. However, you can hide from the scorching sun in the shade of trees growing right on the beach. Active guests can enjoy a variety of water sports here.
You can get to Agia Anna by public transport from the city of Naxos, taxi or rented car.
