Auckland City Hall is one of the most significant landmarks in the city. The City Hall is located in the business district in the heart of Auckland on Queen Street.
The building of the town hall is made in the neo-baroque style. Melbourne architects D. D. and E. D. The Clarke specially designed the building to be placed on the unusual wedge-shaped plot of land allocated for it. In 1911, the Town Hall was officially inaugurated by Governor General Baron Islington. From 1994 to 1997, the building was completely renovated, additional amenities were added, and the Concert Hall was designed that meets modern international standards.

The Great Hall of Auckland City Hall has a capacity of 1,529 and is considered one of the best halls in the world for providing the right acoustics. It is a favorite venue for orchestras and rock performers. The chamber hall is located next to the Great Hall and accommodates 431 people. It is also renowned for its good acoustics. Artists love to hold their concerts here, whose performances require a special, more intimate atmosphere.
