Description of the attraction
Koversada is a small island in the Adriatic Sea, which became famous thanks to the resort of the same name. The island is 1, 5 kilometers away from Vrsar and it is the nearest large settlement.
The whole history of the island is somehow connected with the aforementioned resort, since it is the oldest holiday destination for Europeans and not only. For everyone who is attracted to nudism, Koversada is the most popular holiday destination of its kind along the entire Adriatic coast.
Koversada Park appeared in 1961, because during this period small groups of people settled here, for whom recreation is inextricably linked with proximity to nature. Little by little, the recreation area began to grow and occupied the continental territory adjacent to the island, thus reaching the Lim channel, namely, its southern coast.
Today, the Koversada Natural Park is an excellent resort, the total area of which is about a hundred hectares, and the length of the coastline is five kilometers. There is also a sandy beach, which is geographically located on the neighboring Istrian peninsula, which occupies the mouth of the Limfjord. Along the road lane grow willows, olives and pines.
For vacationers, there are numerous restaurants (some of which can be entered in the nude), playgrounds for all kinds of sports. The resort can accept no more than 6 thousand vacationers at a time.
Island beaches have been awarded the Blue Flag - a sign of the purity of the water space and coastal area.
