They also go there for evening entertainment, of which Cancun City is noticeably lacking.
There are no attractions as such, but you can go on an excursion to the ancient Mayan city of El Meco or visit the House of Culture. You can also go to the bullring, where bullfights are regularly held. The latter is located exactly between Downtown and the hotel zone.
The main advantage of Cancun City is the lower prices compared to the coast for everything, from goods and souvenirs to accommodation. There is also a bus station from where you can go to any part of Mexico or the resort itself.

Marlin
This beach is not for those new to swimming. Due to the strong currents and waves, swimming is not safe here. Therefore Playa Marlin cannot be recommended for family holidays. The beach is more suitable for fans of active and extreme recreation on the water. What attracts vacationers here is the opportunity, in between tanning, to see the ancient ruins of Yamil Luum, inherited from the Mayan tribe.
Due to the choppy sea, the beach is not as crowded as its neighbors, but is fully equipped with amenities including sun loungers, umbrellas and changing rooms.
