Thailand is washed by two seas: Andaman and South China. The Andaman Sea is part of the Indian Ocean. You can dive into its waters on Phuket Island. The rubbish left in the sand is fought every morning by local residents trying to maintain order. Objects falling into the water (plastic bags, bottles, etc.) are more difficult. They remain in the water until the waves carry them to the shore.

For views that seem to have descended from the pages of glossy tourism magazines, you should go to the islands off the coast. There are also cozy corners on the mainland. These are the remote beaches of Naklua and Jomtien.
You can relax in Thailand all year round. The sea is always warm here. The water temperature near the coast during the coldest period is about 25 degrees.

In addition to the already mentioned beaches of Pattaya called Naklua and Jomtien, along which fashionable hotel complexes are built, in the city you can find several other excellent places for recreation and water sports. These include beaches:
- Jomtien Beach is located in the southern part of Pattaya just behind Jomtien Beach. Guests here are offered to stay in expensive bungalows;
- Hat Chom Thian is a six-kilometer beach that lies outside Pattaya. Tourists rarely come here. And those lucky ones who still get to this beach will be rewarded with the opportunity to be practically alone with the sun and the sea;
- Pattaya Beach is a beach for water lovers. It is always crowded with bars and restaurants. But few risk swimming: the sea off the coast is not clean;
- Pratumnak Beach is one of the best beaches in Pattaya, which is located on the cape of the same name, built up with luxury real estate. There are also expensive hotels, the staff of which carefully monitors the cleanliness of the beach.
Fun by the sea
Tour operators in Pattaya offer a lot of entertainment for every taste. When you get tired of having fun at beach parties and mindlessly sunbathing by the sea, you should go on one of the excursions to the islands located off the coast of Pattaya. There are a lot of islands - more than a dozen. They go there for the crystal sea and unspoiled nature. Usually tourists are brought in in the morning and picked up in the evening. The islands are especially popular with divers. Each of them seeks to dive to the ship that sank here during the hostilities about 70 years ago.
You don't need to scuba dive to see marine life. There is a great alternative to diving - a submarine excursion with portholes through which you can observe the underwater world of the Gulf of Thailand. What should those tourists who dream of diving in a comfortable environment need to know? Only the name of the pier where the submarines dock. The pier is called Bali Hai.
Another entertainment in Pattaya is sea fishing. Fishing enthusiasts are taken out on yachts to the bay farther from the coast. Here you can catch barracuda, shark, stingray and many other marine life.
It is also possible in a Thai resort to fish on the freshwater lake of Monsters, where it is not very peaceful, but still fish imported from different continents coexist.
