A few tens of kilometers from Belek, there is the Köprülü Canyon Nature Reserve, which covers an area of 500 hectares. Locals consider it an extension of their city.
Köprülü Canyon National Park stretches along the banks of the restless mountain river Köprüçay for 14 kilometers. She made her way between the wooded slopes of the mountains. The reserve is home to about 500 species of Mediterranean flora - cypresses, pistachio trees, junipers, eucalyptus trees, lemon and orange trees, olives, pines, firs and many other trees and shrubs. The glades between the groups of trees are covered with a thick carpet of flowering herbs. The reserve is considered home to about a hundred species of birds and some species of mammals.
Among the architectural sights of the Köprülü Canyon National Park, one can note the Roman stone bridge Oluk and the remains of the ancient village of Selge, built here several thousand years ago.
