- The cat and the greenest resort of Crimea
- Blue Bay Treasure
If you look at the Crimean Peninsula from a bird's eye view, or at least with the help of Google Maps, you can easily find where the greenest resorts are located. In Crimea, this is the southern coast, where most of the popular beach holiday destinations are concentrated.
The green zone on the map starts from Alushta, captures the resorts of Gurzuf, Yalta and its surroundings, Gaspra, Alupka, Simeiz and extends to Foros. Any of these cities and towns boasts luxurious parks and squares, an abundance of greenery in the streets and squares, and sanatoriums and hotels drowning in flowers from early spring to late autumn.

Livadia
Even the name of this Crimean resort is associated with vegetation. Translated from Greek, Livadia means "/>
Livadia became famous thanks to Count Pototsky, who built a mansion here and laid vineyards. Today, the Livadia Palace, which served as the home of the royal family during their trips to Crimea, is one of the most beautiful sights of the region.
The beach season in Livadia begins at the end of May:
- You can get to the "royal" resort by plane from Moscow to Simferopol and then - by bus or minibus through Yalta. Many Russian airlines fly to Simferopol. High season ticket prices start at 5,000 rubles. The flight takes about two hours.
- You can swim and sunbathe on the Livadian beaches from the last days of spring to mid-October. In July-August, water and air warm up to + 23 ° С and + 29 ° С, respectively.
- The beaches of Livadia are covered with coarse sand and in places - small pebbles. All of them are municipal and admission is free.
- Yalta is only a few kilometers away from Livadia, and for entertainment you can always go to the largest city in the South Coast.
There are not too many hotels in the resort, but they quite cope with the number of tourists that go here on vacation every year. The cost of a standard room for two in a guesthouse is from 3000 rubles, in hotels of a higher category - from 4000 rubles per day. Advance booking often helps to get discounted accommodation and avoid overlaps upon check-in.
The main attraction of the greenest resort in Crimea is the Livadia Palace. It is surrounded by a magnificent park, which was laid out in the first half of the 19th century. Hundreds of species of trees and shrubs grow on an area of 40 hectares, and many of them belong to the group of rare and exotic. The park alleys are decorated with marble benches, statues and fountains. It is here that the seven-kilometer Royal Path for walks begins.
The cat and the greenest resort of Crimea
Another wonderful corner where fans of beautiful landscapes and the warm sea prefer to rest is the town of Simeiz. Geographically, it is considered the southernmost point of the peninsula, although the inhabitants of Foros often argue with this.
Even the mountains surrounding Simeiz are full of legends and mysteries. For example, Mount Koshka, whose silhouette rises on the western outskirts of the resort, got its name not at all because of its shape. Name "/>
But the main thing that attracts thousands of tourists here every year is the beaches of Simeiz. They are covered with small pebbles, and their area is not too large. That is why it is customary in Simeiz to wake up early in the morning in order to have time to take the best places on the beaches:
- The most popular beaches among the guests of the resort are located near the Panea cliff and under the Swan's Wing cliff. There is also a nudist beach, chosen by fans of naturalism to the west of Mount Koshka. Admission to all beaches is free.
- The climate of Simeiz is subtropical. The swimming season here begins several days earlier than in other Crimean resorts, and the sea warms up a couple of degrees more.
- The resort is more suitable for a quiet and lazy vacation. There are no special entertainments either in the town or on the beaches, but for a portion of outdoor activities you can go to Yalta or to the water park in the Blue Bay.
Artists and photographers often come to Simeiz. The local landscapes are able to enchant any creative person. The views from the observation deck of Mount Koshki impress even experienced tourists, and walks through the juniper grove also give an excellent portion of healthy phytoncides.
You can get to Simeiz from Yalta, where the famous Simferopol trolleybus arrives, by route taxis NN 42, 107 and 115
Blue Bay Treasure
A water park in the Blue Bay just west of Simeiz appeared on the map of Crimean entertainment a few years ago and immediately won the love of guests of nearby resorts. It runs on clean seawater, which is supplied daily to the park's pools:
- The main local attraction is open from 9.30 am to 6.30 pm. The water park opens in mid-April and closes in the last days of October.
