The most profitable route with a connection in Beijing takes only 13 hours and 10 minutes. This flight is operated by Hainan Airlines and Air Macau aircraft. The flight via Shanghai is offered by China Eastern Airlines. In this case, tourists will spend 14 hours and 50 minutes on the road. With a stopover in Bangkok, the planes of the firms "Thai Airways" and "Air Macau" fly. The flight will be even longer - 15 hours 55 minutes. There is also the possibility of a flight from Moscow to Macau with two transfers, for example, via Beijing or Seoul and Taipei.
There is only one flight from St. Petersburg to Macau with the only connection in Beijing. You will have to fly by Hainan Airlines and Air Macau planes. Despite the length of the flight and the high cost of tickets, it is worth recognizing that the easiest way to get to Macau is by plane.
To Macau via Hong Kong
Most experienced travelers, who do not want to pay extra for airlines, choose a rather exotic way to travel to one of the brightest and most interesting megacities in the world. How to get to Macau quickly and economically? By ferry from Hong Kong.
Anyone who has now managed to get scared and imagine themselves with suitcases at the ready, wandering along the embankment of Hong Kong in search of a ferry to Macau, can relax. The Hong Kong authorities are well aware that their airport is Asia's largest transit hub. Therefore, tourists can directly at the airport, without taking their luggage and bypassing the border guards, go to the ferry following from the transit sector of the airport in Macau. The only disadvantage of such a trip is that ferries from the airport do not run at night after 22.00. First you need to fly to Shengzhen. From Moscow, this can be done with one change in Xi'an, Beijing or Wuhan. The journey will take at least 12 hours. From St. Petersburg, it is easier to fly to Shenzhen via Beijing (travel time - 12 hours 40 minutes).
How to get to Macau from Shenzhen? There are two options:
- by high-speed boats or ferries from Shekou area, which can be reached by bus from Shenzhen Bao'an Airport;
- by buses that leave every half hour to Guangzhou city. There you should change to another bus, which will take you to Macau in three hours.
