Flea market in the Central Market
Previously, those wishing to sell used things were placed near the bridge over Tmaka, “stretching” along the roadway up to the Central Market and laying out their simple belongings, spreading oilcloths on the asphalt in summer and on the snow in winter. Now a separate sector is provided for this purpose in the Central Market. Anyone who decides to visit the Tver flea market on the weekend will be able to acquire Soviet dishes, cutlery, tablecloths, napkins and towels decorated with hand embroidery, old postcards, coins, vintage shoes, patent boots, stockings and dresses that were in fashion in 60 -70s, Soviet school uniforms, costume jewelry, toys (dolls, cars, soft toys), vases, books, magazines, military uniforms. They say that once at this flea market one of the Tver priests managed to become the owner of a pre-revolutionary photo album dedicated to John of Kronstadt. It is worth noting that sellers of vintage items can often be seen in the old place, but they do not stand there for a long time - they are “chased” by the police.

For shopping, you can go to "Olympus", "Dune", "Rubin" and other shopping centers in the city.
You cannot return from Tver without a tiny lock (it is better to make a purchase in a specialized store of Tver souvenirs “Tiberias”), products made of Tver flax, clay and wooden toys (a clay whistle can be purchased for 300-350 rubles), gold embroidery, a birch bark box (costs about 500 rubles), handmade dolls (pay attention to the old woodsman and the cute brownie - depending on the complexity of the work, the dolls will cost 500-2500 rubles), Tver beer “Afanasy” and bitter tincture “Tverskaya”.
