Its surroundings are full of unique tourist sites, and numerous travel companies offer various excursions in Bulgaria from Sunny Beach.
Nessebar
The nearest town to the resort is Nessebar - a real pearl of Bulgaria and one of the oldest cities in Europe. Its age is estimated at several millennia. The city is divided into two parts: New, which actually merged with the resort complex Sunny Beach, and Old Nessebar, located on a small rocky peninsula. At the beginning of the 1st millennium BC. on this place there was a Thracian settlement. Throughout its history, the city was a colony of Greece, belonged to the Roman Empire, the Bulgarian Kingdom and the Ottoman Empire, and each of the eras left its mark on its appearance. Remains of the fortress wall, towers and gates have been preserved since ancient times. Of the 43 Byzantine churches that once adorned the city, only 11 remain, and two of them date back to the 4th-5th centuries. Old Nessebar is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
Walking along the cobblestone narrow streets of the old town with wooden buildings of the 19th century, with small shops, restaurants and numerous cafes on the embankment will not take much time, but it will leave an unforgettable experience.

Excursion to the Bulgarian village
An excursion to the Bulgarian village leaves from Sunny Beach inland in the late afternoon. On holidays, nestinars dance ritual dances on hot coals.
The inhabitants of the village welcome tourists, show their houses, beautiful clothes, share the secrets of making jewelry and embroidery. In the evening, guests will enjoy a dinner of delicious national dishes with homemade wine and rakia from barrels. And closer to the night, the most interesting thing begins - the dance on the coals.
