Description of the attraction

Morskoe Oko is the largest mountain lake in the Polish Tatras. Its depth is 53 meters, the area is more than 35 hectares. It is revered by the Poles as well as by the Russians - Lake Baikal.

The lake of stunning beauty is surrounded by a national park with views of mountain landscapes and mountain streams, with asphalt paths and many trails of varying difficulty. To pass some you do not need any special training, while others require equipment and equipment. A map of the area is displayed at the entrance to the park.

The park is equipped for your convenience. Toilets are installed. Halt with two cafes within 4 km to the lake. It offers a wonderful view - snow-capped peaks of the mountains, and below - a turquoise, light lake, and local merchants offer cold beer with raspberry syrup.

Part of the way through the national park to Lake Morskoye Oko can be driven by a team of horses, driven by cabbies dressed in national gurul clothes.

Many holidaymakers sunbathe on the shores of this famous and popular lake in the Tatras. There are also secluded coves with an abundance of fish, where blueberry bushes grow.

There is a buffet with a bar on the shore. From here you can climb to the upper lake Cherni Stavu, and even higher - to Mount Rysi, the very top of the Tatras, with a height of 2499m.

There is a hiking trail around the lake. In about an hour, you can bypass it completely.
