- Tax Free system exists in Montenegro, but it is not very convenient. You can get a VAT refund only during your next visit to the country and then only if no more than six months have passed between trips.
- The most convenient way to get from one town on the coast to another is by water taxi.
- Parking in Montenegro is mostly free, but finding a place in the historical centers of resort towns is not too easy.
The cuisine of Montenegro deserves special attention. The menu of any restaurant contains dishes from fish, meat and vegetables. If you are looking for some real non-tourist food, check out the local taverns. The prices there are inversely proportional to the huge portions, and the authentic atmosphere will help you to feel the very essence of Balkan hospitality.
About sights

The visiting card of Montenegro is called the island of St. Stephen, five kilometers east of Budva. Once the island was a fortress, which since 1442 protected its inhabitants from the raids of the Ottomans. Today it has become an island hotel and its famous guests included Sophia Loren, Sylvester Stallone and Claudia Schiffer.
At any time of the year, the Ostrog Monastery is beautiful, revered by Orthodox pilgrims as one of the most important places in the world. It is located 8 km from the road between Podgorica and Niksic. An excursion with a qualified guide can be ordered in any resort town in the country.
Having bought a ticket to Kotor, be sure that your vacation will take place against the backdrop of amazingly beautiful landscapes. The entire old town is listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site, and its architectural dominant is the Clock Tower, erected in the 16th century.
