In Narva, they managed to preserve many ancient monuments, including the fortress, erected in 1172. It should be noted that most of the old buildings were razed to the ground during the last world war.

In general, there are many military facilities in the city, now most are used for peaceful purposes. For example, an art gallery is located in the building of the former artillery warehouses.
