This Russian region has many brands that could well take a place on the main heraldic symbol. Although, on the other hand, they are associated more with the main city of the region. Nevertheless, the coat of arms of the Tula region, approved by the local authorities in December 2000, speaks of the main direction of the economy - the development of heavy industry, and, above all, important defense enterprises.

Heraldic colors

Specialists in the field of heraldry note that the coat of arms of this area looks simply luxurious in a color photo. This is largely due to the choice of colors for individual elements and the background of the shield, it is also important that the colors combine well with each other, creating a holistic and stylish image.

Three tones are present in the heraldic symbol of the Tula region - scarlet and precious colors - gold and silver. Each representative of the palette is important in world heraldry, and in this symbol, in particular.

The scarlet color has long been associated with courage, will, heroism, a willingness to defend their native lands to the last drop of blood. Gold color is a symbol of beauty, wealth, luxury, prosperity. Silver - symbolizes the nobility of deeds and purity of thoughts, the color also resembles the color of metal, polished, shiny weapons.

Description of the heraldic sign of the area

The coat of arms was adopted in 2000, then amended in 2005. As described in the latest statute, the area symbol shield consists of the following important parts:

  • a blade of a sword of silver color, located horizontally;
  • two more of the same blades forming an oblique cross;
  • two golden hammers located above and below the composition of swords.

The shield is painted scarlet, has a traditional shape, and a precious imperial crown (gold) is located above it. The second important element that is present outside the field of the shield is the order ribbon, which is draped around in beautiful folds and waves. People who understand awards and order ribbons will confidently say that there is a ribbon of the Order of Lenin in the frame of this coat of arms, and they will be right.

Attentive viewers will be able to find the differences between the heraldic symbols of Tula and the region. Weapon barrels are placed on the city's coat of arms, the official emblem of the region is decorated with blades of swords.

Cold steel weapons and tools symbolize the crafts for which the Tula land was famous. Hammers are associated with high craftsmanship, a sword placed horizontally on the shield emphasizes the peaceful nature of the locals, it is a symbol of defense, but not attack.
