In 70 kilometers from Sevastopol, near the town of Simeiz, there is an amazing mountain "Cat". In ancient times, Taurus lived on this mountain. In the caves of the mountain, scientists still find the remains of their ancient civilization: tombs, fortress walls. Archaeologists have discovered here ancient burials in the form of stone boxes, dating back to the 6th-2nd centuries. BC.
The name of the mountain Koshka in translation from Tatar means "Pair rock" ("kosh-kaya"). And the locals came up with a legend that there was a demon in the form of a cat, and he wanted to kidnap the beautiful girl Diva. But a monk was in love with this girl, who protected her, and the evil demon turned into a mountain and overgrown with forest.
From the height of Mount Koshki (254 meters above sea level) you can see the village located at the very sea. Trees look unusually beautiful, and even the roofs of houses on the seashore. And on the mountain itself there is a clearing on which plants that are listed in the Red Book grow.
Near the geodetic mark installed on the top of the mountain, you can see a "tree" made of ribbons left by travelers. You can also tie your ribbon to this tree as usual.
