Those who go on pilgrimage tours to Diveyevo will be able to feel God's grace while worshiping local Orthodox shrines.
For those who wish, many options for pilgrimage trips to Diveyevo are organized: for example, you can take a direct tour from Moscow (the bus leaves either in the morning or in the evening). If we talk about the duration of such trips, then the shortest is a 2-day trip, during which you can visit not only Diveevo, but also at your choice - either Murom or Arzamas. But if you wish, you can make a choice in favor of 3-5 day pilgrimage tours.
Seraphim-Diveevsky Monastery
It is recommended to come to the monastery in the evening in order to have time to get to the evening service, after which everyone will be invited to the pilgrim refectory for a free dinner (you need to get food coupons at the pilgrim center). Every day after a meal, you can join the sisters - they go around the monastery, reading a prayer and holding the "Tenderness" icon in their hands.
It is worth noting that the architecture of the Diveyevo monastery includes Kazan (here you can see the restored paintings and new frescoes, which you can use to learn more about the history of the Diveyevo monastery), Troitsky (the windows of the lower left side-altar keep the personal belongings of Seraphim in the form of an iron cross, leather gloves and other; every day an akathist is served at his relics), Preobrazhensky (famous for frescoes on gospel subjects, which, like images of saints, are made of acrylic with gold leaf applied; the relics of Paraskeva are kept here) cathedrals. The main shrines of the monastery:
- Holy Canal (there is a tradition to walk along the Holy Canal - in the footsteps of the Queen of Heaven).
- Icon of the Mother of God "Tenderness" (Seraphim of Sarov read prayers before her and subsequently died).
- The Ark with the relics of the saints of the Glinsk Hermitage (the monastery received it as a gift in 2009) - there are particles of the relics of Theodotus, Macarius, Filaret, Seraphim.
Pilgrims should also pay attention to the Diveyevo springs - Kazan (there is a chapel and a bathhouse, and the sacraments of Baptism are also held), Iversky (it has a bathhouse and a well; the water is illuminated here on the Feast of the Pentecostal Pentecost) and Mother Alexandra (the water is illuminated here and religious processions are performed on the feast of the icon "Life-giving source" and on Epiphany).
