Estonia is an attractive tourist destination: here you can get medical treatment on mineral springs, relax on the shores of lakes and the Baltic coast, enjoy a rich “excursion”, get acquainted with Estonian cuisine. In addition, in this country, everyone will have the opportunity to see the waterfalls.
Yagala
The eight-meter waterfall is 50 m wide and formed by the river of the same name. It itself, in turn, forms a valley, 300 m long and more than 10 m deep (this is explained by the destruction of the cliff edge, which occurs at a rate of 3 cm per year). You can walk along the entire width of the waterfall under a ledge (water curtain), but in this case, it is important to be careful, because this passage can be quite dangerous due to the large and slippery stones with which it is strewn. It is best to view water streams in spring, but in winter there will be something to see, namely, a frozen waterfall that has turned into an ice wall.
Valaste
The height of its water flow in free fall reaches more than 30 m. In winter, Valaste often freezes, acquiring a bizarre shape, and the trees growing nearby are “overgrown” with ice. If you wish, you can go down from the cliff to Valasta along the equipped double spiral staircase. And opposite you can find a high-rise observation deck.
Keila
The width of this 6-meter waterfall is 70 m, and travelers can get to it by road from the park along the river bed (on the way they will meet several bridges). The observation deck, equipped in front of the waterfall, deserves the attention of tourists - from there they will be able to enjoy the views of the streams of water falling from the cliff. Keila is very popular with locals - they rush here on their wedding day to attach locks to the suspension bridge and throw the keys into the waterfall.
Kivisilla
The waterfall, with a total height of more than 22 m, consists of a number of ledges (the height of the largest of them is 7, 5 and 6 m), and the main Ranna ditch (its depth is 2 m) supplies it with water.
Yoaveski
This cascading waterfall (the total slope of the cascade is more than 5 m) is fed from the Loobu River and consists of 6 ledges, the height of which is 0.5-1 m each. waters. Tourists should take a few souvenir photos against the backdrop of these small cascades.
