On the map of the Bulgarian city of Varna, you can see five districts, after which it is worth getting to know each of them separately.
Names and short descriptions of areas
- Primorsky district: part of this district is the Chaika neighborhoods (the beaches of the quarter are in demand among vacationers due to the opportunity to take part in beach volleyball competitions) and Vinitsa (it is worth looking here on May 2 for a holiday in honor of which a fair unfolds and concerts are held) …
- Asparuhovo area: “Asparuhov Park” is suitable for recreation (the park is equipped with fountains with drinking water, basketball and volleyball fields, playgrounds with exercise equipment and shells; it is pleasant to walk along the park alleys both in the afternoon and in the evening, when its territory is illuminated by beautiful illumination) and a beach with well-developed infrastructure (free parking, surf center, cafes, mini-football and volleyball fields).
- Odessos area: shopaholics should “occupy” the “Kolhozen Pazar” quarter - in addition to the Kolkhoz market, they will find shops where they can buy clothes, toys, shoes, jewelry.
- District Vladislav Varnenchik: on its territory there is an interesting object in the form of a park-museum of Vladislav Varnenchik (despite the fact that the mausoleum of Vladislav III Yagailo with a stone sarcophagus was erected here, the king's body was never buried), where guests will be offered to visit the Historical Museum with a collection knightly armor, banners, prints, sculptures and other works of art.
- Mladost district: will delight travelers with “Kaufland”, “Praktiker” and other shops, as well as the sports and entertainment complex “Mladost” (there are fields for games, including golf courses, playgrounds, an outdoor ice rink, a summer amphitheater, a wall for climbing, skate park).
Varna landmarks
Guests of Varna should see the Assumption Cathedral (stained-glass windows, frescoes, icons are subject to inspection; entrance is free, but you will have to pay 5 levs for photographing the interiors) and the Church of St. Seaside Park (on the territory of the park, 8 km long, there are alleys, monuments of famous personalities, an aquarium, a zoo and a dolphinarium), the Museum of the History of Varna (the exposition contains many exhibits dating back to the beginning of the 20th century - for example, here you can see the interiors of handicraft shops, and what the local beaches looked like in the 1920s) and the Ethnographic Museum (there is a collection that reflects the peculiarities of the life of the Bulgarian village of the 19-20 centuries - handicrafts and ritual items stand out among the exhibits).
