Description of the attraction

The State Puppet Theater of Varna is the center of leisure, culture and aesthetic education of the young generation of the city. Located on the street. The theater was opened in 1952, and over the years of its existence the theatrical collective has presented more than 250 performances of different genres to young spectators.

Performances have repeatedly become laureates of not only regional, but also international festivals. The theater staff today includes more than 30 people, half of whom are graduates of the National Theater Academy, the other half are creative specialists, administrative and technical personnel. The repertoire of the theater is rich and varied, the audience is offered both classical puppet shows and innovative productions of the theater of masks and the theater of shadows.

The theater staff is open to experiments that are skillfully used in productions, making them vivid and expressive: visual effects, plastic play, video projections, and more. The theater has an Art Studio, which is engaged in the implementation of creative projects that do not fit into the framework of the classical repertoire. The Studio creates performances for adults and children based on the works of classics and contemporaries. In addition, cognitive and educational lectures for adolescents and students are regularly held.
