Fans of zoology, despite the absence of a zoo in Milan, will not be disappointed. One of the oldest aquariums in the world operates in the capital of Lombardy, and even the building in which it is housed is a local landmark in itself. The last reconstruction of the facility was completed in 2009.

By the way, the Sempione Park itself, which houses the aquarium, is perfect for family walks in the fresh air. The main attraction is an excellent observation deck, from where Milan can be seen in all its splendor, and on a hot day, the fountains that adorn the park become the most popular places.
How to get there?
The address of the aquarium is Via Girolamo Gardio, 21 Milan, 20121 Italy. It is located in the Sempione Park area and the easiest way to reach it is by Metro Milan. The stations are called Lanza Brera Piccolo and Teatro Cairoli Castello. The tram on the first route is also suitable for a trip to the aquarium. You will have to get off at the Pagano Milton stop. For trams on line 19, the stop is called Pagano Canova, and for lines 12 and 14, it is called Bramante Lega Lombarda.
Useful information
The opening hours of the aquarium in Milan are from 09.00 to 17.30 with a lunch break from 13.00 to 14.00. The facility is open six days a week, except Monday.
Ticket price:
- A full adult ticket costs 5 euros.
- The discount ticket price is 3 euros. Visitors with disabilities, children under 6 and some other categories of citizens are eligible for discounts. To purchase a discount ticket, you must present an ID with a photo.
Free admission to the Milan Aquarium is possible:
- Thursdays after 14.00.
- An hour before the closure of the facility on any day.
- On the first Sunday of any month during the entire business day.
