Dubai zoo
The mention of only the name of the Dubai Zoo delights the local kids, because spending a weekend surrounded by smaller brothers is pleasant for a kid in any corner of the world. Here are collected about a thousand animals, representing more than a hundred biological species.
Pride and achievement
The most interesting animals in the Dubai Zoo represent the world of the Socotra Archipelago. These islands in the ocean a few tens of kilometers from the Arabian Peninsula are famous for their unique flora and fauna, and many of the species living on the islands are not found anywhere else on the planet.
Foxes and hyenas, Asiatic lions and jaguars, Amur tigers and Arabian wolves are popular with visitors to the Dubai Zoo. More than four hundred reptiles demonstrate the diverse world of snakes and lizards, and the bird kingdom is represented here by ostriches and golden eagles, parrots and cormorants.
The aviaries of the Dubai Zoo are home to slender giraffes and clumsy hippos, sociable chimpanzees and reclusive crocodiles. Many aviaries are not very suitable for a comfortable existence, and therefore the reconstruction of the zoo is in the immediate plans of the administration.
