A Russian tourist has several ways to fly to Liberty Island, and two airports in Cuba at once accept flights of Russian air carriers. A direct flight lasts about 12 hours, but the time spent on a connecting flight depends on the route. Air France will take travelers to Havana via Paris, while KLM flies to the capital of Liberty Island and Varadero, with a connection in Amsterdam.

Cuba's metropolitan airport has five passenger terminals connected to each other by bus service. The first is used for domestic flights, while the second lands charters from Miami, New York and Tampa with passengers who have received special permits from the US government to visit Cuba.
In 2010, Terminal 2 underwent reconstruction and today it offers its passengers a bookstore, a restaurant and a car rental office. The fifth terminal is the gateway for charters from the Caribbean, operated by Aerocaribbean.
