National parks and beach resorts, exotic wildlife and the hustle and bustle of modern megacities - in Kenya, you can spend the most unforgettable vacation in life with friends, family or in splendid isolation. None of the air carriers operate direct flights from Moscow to airports in Kenya. But with transfers three times a week, Qatar Airways fly to Nairobi via Doha, Emirates do it daily via Dubai, EgyptAir connects Russia with Kenya via Cairo, and Turkish Airlines via Istanbul. Travel time is at least 11 hours, including transfers.

Kenya International Airports

Of several dozen airports, only a few have been granted the right to receive flights from abroad:

  • Kenya's capital international airport is the largest not only in the country, but throughout East Africa. It is located 15 km southeast of downtown Nairobi. The base airline, Kenya Airways, flies dozens of scheduled domestic and international flights daily.
  • Eldoret Airport in the west of the country receives international cargo flights from Dubai and Abu Dhabi. As a passenger air port, it has only domestic flights on its schedule. The city in which the airport is located has been developing especially dynamically in recent years and has a chance to become an important economic center of the entire East African region.
  • In the very south of Kenya, there is the air harbor of the city of Mombasa. Moi Airport accepts international flights of Condor, Meridiana, LOT Polish Airlines and Turkish Airlines from Europe and continental flights from neighboring African countries. To the masterpieces of world heritage

Lamu town on the archipelago of the same name off the coast of Kenya is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lamu Airport accepts only domestic flights from Nairobi, Malindi and other cities - its runway is only a kilometer long.

Local aviation overcomes 450 km from the capital in less than an hour, and therefore this air harbor is popular with tourists who decided to relax on exotic islands.

Metropolitan direction

The airport in Nairobi is named after Jomo Kenyatta, the first president of independent Kenya. This air harbor handles at least 6 million passengers annually, and the majority of flights are operated by Kenya Airways. In addition to the flights of the local carrier, frequent guests on the airfield are KLM, Lufthansa, Turkish Airlines, Qatar Airlines, Swiss International Air Lines, Royal Air Maroc, Egypt Air, British Airways, China Southern Airlines, Brussels Airlines and Emirates.

Duty-free shops, cafes and the Internet are available to passengers waiting for a flight. Transfers to the city are provided by taxis and commuter trains. Car rental offices and currency exchange offices are located in the arrivals area.

All detailed information about the schedule, services and online scoreboard can be found on the website - www.kenyaairports.co.ke.
