If you think that the Country of Morning Freshness (this is what the locals call their homeland) is a miniature copy of Japan, then a trip to South Korea will completely refute such a postulate.
Public transport
The public transport system is finely tuned. In addition, the fare is quite low.
City buses are not available for tourists, since all the signs on them are exclusively in Korean. That is why the main means of transportation around the city are metro and taxis.
Metro
There are "subways" in the following cities: Seoul; Busan; Daegu; Daejeon; Incheon; Gwangju. The old-fashioned tickets can be purchased at the box office or at the ticket machine. Conveniently, all the inscriptions in the metro are necessarily duplicated in English.
A map of the metro lines can be found above the ticket booth. It is also in most cases duplicated in English. In order not to go into details of prices, it is enough to tell the cashier the station you need. If there is a yellow box next to the cashier, then it contains free subway cards.
Intercity communication
You can comfortably travel around the country by buses. The cars are clean and air conditioned. They often travel between major cities - every 15-30 minutes.
There are also express buses on the route, however, the cost of tickets is slightly higher. But the seats for passengers are perfectly equipped. There is even a TV and VCR. Tickets must be booked in advance.

- Classic taxis. The price of the trip depends on the distance and travel time.
- Taxi "Brand" on call. Equipped with a cash register, translators.
- Taxi "Lux". These are black cars with a taxi sign on the roof. The cabins are more spacious when compared to regular taxis. A receipt of payment for travel must be issued. There is no night tariff.
- Multi-seat taxis. These are classic minibuses for 8 people.
- International taxi. Taxi for non-Korean speaking tourists.
In the capital of the country, you can pay for your trip with a credit card.
