A trip to Canada is about singing blue whales, the spray of thundering Niagara and real hockey. It is for this that tourists strive to get to the country of the red maple leaf.
Public transport
Transport in cities runs in full accordance with the available schedule. That is why the bus cabins are always free, and finding a seat for yourself is not a problem. You can only get around Ottawa by bus, but Montreal already offers a subway.
Payment for travel in monetary terms or a ticket purchased in advance must be handed over to the driver. In return, you will be given a transfer that allows you to travel completely free of charge for a certain period of time. As a rule, no longer than 2 hours, but on any route you need. If you wish, you can buy a pass with a different validity period: for one day or for a whole month.
During rush hour, buses come to stops every 5-10 minutes, in sleeping areas the interval at this time can be up to half an hour. In normal times, the interval of movement is 15 minutes.
Intercity buses
Intercity routes will be operated by comfortable buses. At the same time, the route network covers the territory of the entire country. In addition, there are daily flights to cities in the United States.
Major carrier companies: Coach Canada; Greyhound Canada. Both companies offer their passengers travel tickets with different validity periods (from a week to a full calendar month).
If in cities for the arrival / departure of buses there is a single station, then in small settlements you need to ask where buses making intercity travel stop.
Taxi
It is best to take a taxi if the trip will be short, since fares for long distances are very "bite".
In general, the cost of the trip will depend on the total mileage and travel time. First of all, you will need to pay for the landing. Further, a certain amount is paid for each kilometer. If you need a stop while driving, then every minute of downtime will be paid for. No baggage charges apply. Please note that the counter should only turn on after you have landed.
Air transport
The territory of the country is huge, and therefore the most popular way to travel will be air travel. You can get by plane to almost any more or less large city.
Main carriers: Air Canada; Canadian Ailines. But it's worth remembering that plane tickets are very expensive. At the same time, the price of flights to the northern cities of the country is especially high.
Railway transport
The railway network is wide enough, but the northern regions of the country remain uncovered. If you wish, you can get to any corner of the country, even the most remote. Main rail line: Gaspe - Vancouver (passing through Quebec, Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg and Calgary).
Traveling around the country by train is cheaper than using buses.
