Odense is one of the oldest cities in Denmark with its history, traditions and rich cultural heritage. Among the most famous attractions, a special place is occupied by the world-famous open-air museum "Funen Village". The village is an endless source of information for those interested in Danish history and ethnography.
The Funen Village Museum is located in one of the most beautiful and picturesque corners of the city. The open-air museum is a real village with 25 farms and wooden houses from the 16th-19th centuries that were brought to the museum from all over Denmark. Here, visitors have a great opportunity to see the village life of local residents.
In summer, the museum workers change into national clothes, creating the illusion of an ordinary old village: they work in the garden and field, cook food in ovens, weave yarn, forge iron, take care of pets.
