Rest in Yalta is a great opportunity to enjoy the unique nature, stroll through the squares and streets, immersed in greenery, admire the old mansions.
The main types of recreation in Yalta
- Beach: all Yalta beaches are pebble (pebbles of different sizes). As a tourist, you should pay attention to Massandra beach: it was awarded the Blue Flag, and the beach strip is divided by breakwaters into small beaches of varying degrees of comfort (there are paid and free areas, secluded and VIP zones). Children can enjoy water rides here, while adults can sunbathe under the shady canopies, shoot at the shooting range, go for a massage or keep a company of their children. If you wish, here you can ride a scooter or water ski, fly on a hang glider over the sea, rent scuba gear. It will not be boring here even in the evening - parties and live music concerts are held on the beach.
- Active: those who wish can go diving, rock climbing, play golf, go horseback riding. And for children, a special multi-day tour “Pathfinder's Ring” has been developed here, during which they will be able to master different types of active tourism, including equestrian tourism.
- Curative: in Yalta sanatoriums and boarding houses, preventive measures are taken and diseases of the nervous, respiratory, endocrine systems, digestive organs and musculoskeletal system are treated (the main therapeutic factors are climate, mud, mineral water).
- Sightseeing: as part of the excursion programs you can see the Massandra Palace, Alexander Nevsky Cathedral, the Emir of Bukhara Palace, the Roffe Baths, walk along the Embankment, ride the Miskhor - Ai-Petri cable car, visit the Fairy Tale Zoo (here you can watch camels, tigers, pelicans, zebras, and little guests - ride a donkey), as well as at the Uchan-Su waterfall.
Prices for tours to Yalta
The price level for tours to Yalta depends on the season. Despite the fact that Yalta is a year-round resort, the end of spring, June, September is considered the ideal time to travel here. Beach-goers wishing to save on the cost of vouchers can come to Yalta in September-October, when the “velvet season” reigns at the resort.
In the high season, covering all summer months, as well as the first half of January, the prices for vouchers are noticeably more expensive (by 45-100%). The same applies to the periods of the festivals (Youth Arts Festival “Yalta Holidays” in March, Music Festival “Fanfare of Yalta” in May, Fireworks Festival in August).
In order to reduce costs, it makes sense to rent housing in the private sector, although during this period the price level also rises here.
On a note
On vacation in Yalta, you should not take unnecessary things with you - this does not apply to light clothes, a hat or cap, slippers and comfortable shoes for excursions, swimwear and waterproof sunscreen.
Be careful: if during a train ride, passing sellers try to sell you sturgeon, red caviar and other goods, do not buy anything from them (they may turn out to be fake or substandard goods).
Since smoking and drinking alcohol is officially prohibited in public places in Yalta, you should not do this on vacation - violation of the ban will result in a fine.
