Dubai is a big city, so tourists are especially interested in the nuances of the transport system.
Dubai's transport system is well thought out, so walks can be intense and easy at the same time.
Underground
The metro consists of 47 stations. Opening hours depend on the day of the week, but at the same time it falls approximately from five to six in the morning to twelve to one in the morning. The exception is Friday, when the metro starts operating at 13.00. The time interval between trains is ten minutes.
While waiting for the metro, you should remember that there is a special section in the carriage, where only women and children under five years old are allowed to enter. This compartment is located in front of the car.
For travel, you should buy a single-use card or smart card, the account on which will need to be replenished if necessary. These cards are valid both in the metro and in buses. In each case, the costs depend on the number of stations that were required to travel before arriving at the destination, so the check must be done twice: at the entrance and at the exit. The fare depends on the distance and on the class (regular or "Gold").
