Description of the attraction

Lefkimi is a picturesque town in the southern part of the Greek island of Corfu (Kerkyra), located about 40 km south-east of the administrative center of the same name. Lefkimi has a population of over 6,500 and an area of about 50 square kilometers, making it the second largest settlement on the island. You can get from Corfu to Lefkimi by public transport or by using a taxi.

Lefkimi is a traditional Greek settlement with pretty stone houses, old churches and monasteries (Agia Theodoros, Agia Arsenios, Agia Anaryiri, etc.), beautiful squares and narrow streets, nestled in a fertile green valley surrounded by olive groves and vineyards.

In addition to agriculture and related industries, a significant part of the local population is engaged in tourism. You will find in Lefkimi and its surroundings everything you need for a comfortable stay - a fairly good selection of small cozy hotels and apartments, shops, excellent beaches and much more. A narrow channel connecting Lake Korission and the Ionian Sea passes through the eastern part of the city, along which there are many cozy restaurants and cafes - a favorite place for Lefkimi residents and its guests, where you can fully experience the "taste" of real Greece.

This is an ideal place for lovers of a quiet measured holiday, while fans of noisy parties and active entertainment can go to neighboring Kavos. However, the island is relatively small and you can diversify your vacation in Lefkimi with a fascinating trip around Corfu and acquaintance with its sights. Ferries run daily from Lefkimi Port to Igoumenitsa Port.
