Airport in Manila

The largest Philippine international airport in Manila is named after Ninoy Aquino, a former Philippine senator. The airport is located 12 km from the city of Manila. It is the main hub for all air carriers in the country.

In 2012, the milestone of 30 million passengers was reached, then 31,558,002 passengers were served per year. Accordingly, such large numbers confirm that the airport in Manila is one of the busiest airports in Asia.

Recently, the airport has regularly been ranked at the bottom by Skytrax. This is due to the large flow of passengers and the low throughput of the terminal; as a result, the level of comfort decreases.

Terminal 1

Terminal 1 was commissioned in 1981, then its capacity was approximately 4.5 million passengers per year.

At the moment, the terminal serves most of the airlines from all over the world. Due to the constant overload of the terminal and the low level of comfort, a reconstruction plan was developed. All work should be completed by the end of 2014.

Terminal 2

Terminal 2 was commissioned in 1999. It serves domestic and international flights of Philippine Airlines. At the moment, the terminal's capacity is approximately 7.5 million passengers, it is planned to increase this figure to 9 million.

The terminal is ready to provide its passengers with some services, for example, cafes and restaurants, as well as duty-free shops.

Terminal 3

Terminal 3 was officially opened in the summer of 2008. The construction process of the terminal was very controversial and problematic, the terms of delivery of the terminal were constantly postponed. It took 11 years to build.

The terminal is ready to serve about 12 million passengers a year.

This modern building offers many more useful services to its passengers - a large shopping area, various cafes and restaurants, a large number of information boards, etc.

Also from this terminal there is an exit to a large parking lot for 2000 cars.

Terminal 4

The oldest airport building in Manila, built in 1944. The terminal is designed for domestic flights, but AirAsia Zest regularly operates international flights from here.
